The Next Era of SaaS: The Enterprise Execution Fabric

For most of the last thirty years, enterprise software has been built around a simple assumption: People operate software. Salespeople open CRM systems. Finance teams work inside ERP platforms. HR operates HCM software. Customer-support teams live in ticketing systems. Project managers open project-management applications. Employees move information between documents, dashboards, inboxes, databases and business systems. The architecture of the modern enterprise reflects that assumption. It changes where value sits in the enterprise technology stack . And it suggests that the next major computing architecture inside companies will not simply be another generation of SaaS. It will be an Enterprise Execution Fabric : a governed layer through which intelligent systems interpret business intent, access organizational context, exercise bounded authority and execute work across applications.
